Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez has issued his verdict after a Strictly-themed MasterChef episode was pulled from TV schedules last December.
The episode – starring Gorka, Nancy Xu, Amy Dowden and Kai Widdrington – was axed following allegations about Gregg Wallace.
The BBC host, 60, stepped away from the show in November after it was announced that Banijay UK, the production company, is investigating historical misconduct complaints.
The Strictly Festive Extravaganza was filmed earlier in the year with the four professional dancers tasked with creating festive dishes and a two-course menu. Judge Motsi Mabuse, who set the first challenge, also appeared.

Gorka added to Radio Times that he “wasn’t surprised” Vito won, praising his love of food and passion for cooking.
Father-of-two Gorka will soon begin his tour of the UK with fellow Strictly pro Karen Hauer. Their Speakeasy shows will kick off in February and promise to look back at vintage dance styles from the 1920s-1970s.

Gorka Marquez made Strictly history with Dr Punam Krishan.
He recently completed his ninth series of Strictly Come Dancing with Morning Live’s Dr Punam Krishan.
The pair finished in 11th place but made history with the show’s first-ever Bollywood dance.
The duo performed their Couple’s Choice routine to Bhole Chudiye from the film Khushi Kabhi Gham and left the judges in tears.
Motsi was particularly emotional and said: “That really moved me, I know so many people are watching you right now and feel so pleased to watch this on Strictly Come Dancing.”
Gorka has also said that the dance was the highlight of his entire nine years on Strictly. He continued to Radio Times: “I felt so privileged to be doing it, and very grateful for the chance to learn about a new style and culture.
“I think it was a great moment for the whole Indian community. Like in Spain we have the flamenco – it’s not just about dance, it’s about our roots, so it was very special.”
