The This Morning star is reportedly relying on her friends to “distract” her
Ruth Langsford is reportedly “relying” on friends like BBC Radio 2 star Rylan Clark following her “shocking” split from husband Eamonn Holmes after 14 years.
A source claimed to Closer magazine that the This Morning legend’s pals are aiming to “distract” her from the separation, which was announced back in May.
According to reports, Eamonn has since moved on with his new partner, Katie Alexander, a 42-year-old relationship counsellor with whom he has been spotted enjoying a trip in Barcelona.
However, Ruth, who co-presented the ITV show alongside her former partner for 15 years, is also apparently “having lots of fun” as she attempts to “cope” with the new dynamic.
The source claimed: “Ruth is trying to cope with all this. Obviously it hurts and it’s very shocking, but she’s relying on friends like Rylan to distract her and make sure she’s having lots of fun – and that’s why Rylan is so good for her.”
In September, the Loose Women star was spotted enjoying a boozy night out with Rylan
They added: “She wants to focus on herself, on her work and getting out there. She’s going out and having a laugh as a distraction from what’s going on.”
Ruth and her friend, Lizzie Cundy, reportedly met Rylan at his home in Essex before uniting with another friend for food, champagne, and espresso martinis.
While Ruth was captured with two cocktails, Rylan asked: “What are you doing, what are you doing?” to which Lizzie jokingly commented: “She’s having a terrible time.”
