The Chase fans have threatened to boycott show and fumed ‘it’s going downhill fast!’ as they begged bosses to take action after a ‘painful, disaster of an episode’.
On Monday night’s episode, presenter Bradley Walsh welcomed Caroline from Cambridge, Alexander from Leeds, Emma from Kent and Alan from Derbyshire.
They went up against relentless Chaser Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis in the hope of winning a prize pot worth thousands of pounds.
But fans were left feeling deflated as one by one each player fell victim the The Menace.
Caroline got caught by the Chaser and was forced to leave the team, leaving them with just three members so early in the show.
Alexander and Emma then both accepted Darragh’s low offers of £1000, hoping playing it safe would keep them in the competition, only to be sorely mistaken.

Left to fend for himself, Alan took the high offer of £100,000 but got caught anyway.
Darragh said they were ‘a very strong team on paper but the luck didn’t fall for them at the table’.
Fans took to social media to voice their frustrations over the episode and the state of the show as a whole.
One angry viewer wrote: ‘#TheChase is going downhill so fast! The people on there are handpicked w*****s’.
Another said: ‘This is absolutely painful viewing, can’t believe I’m saying this but it may be time to switch back to Pointless.’
A third posted: ‘#TheChase has been dismal and boring for some time. Contestants going low, more often than not, losing even then. Might give this show a wide berth for a while and hope it picks up.’
Others called it ‘the worst episode in history’, ’embarrassing’ and said it ‘should have ended up on the cutting room floor’.
Meanwhile, some theorised that the show could be fixed, as one posted: ‘#TheChase is completely set up against the players, easy questions for the Chasers.’
A post directed at ITV said: ‘Why are the Chasers questions so much shorter and easier than the contestants?’

It comes after fans accused Chaser Shaun Wallace of ‘fixing’ last Wednesday’s game by intentionally getting ‘easy’ questions wrong.
Viewers could not believe that The Dark Destroyer didn’t know what a dad joke was or that he legitimately thought the Statue of Liberty’s crown was longer than her torch.
One said: ‘Shaun Wallace doesn’t know what a dad joke is? Oh f*** off! He’s a Mastermind champion and here he is helping to fix The Chase.’
Someone else posted: ‘Nah, there is no way Shaun Wallace is getting some of these questions genuinely wrong. He’s being told to put the wrong answers!’.
