Chris McCausland has been issued a demand from Dianne Buswell as his next big move after Strictly Come Dancing was revealed. The pair are still riding high after winning the BBC One dance contest in December.

Comedian Chris, who was Strictly’s first-ever blind contestant, and professional dancer Dianne were paired together for the 20th-anniversary series of the show back in September and were eventually crowned Strictly’s latest champions at the end of the 2024 series last month.

The glittering grand final saw them beat fellow finalists, Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley, to lift the famous Glitterball trophy.

Weeks on from their winning moment and while Dianne prepares to reunite with her co-stars for the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour, Chris is preparing to hit the stage himself as he returns to his stand-up tour, Yonks!

But that’s not all that will be keeping Chris busy as the 47-year-old revealed his next project. It’s been revealed that Chris has signed with Penguin Michael Joseph to write a memoir due for publication in autumn 2025.

Chris has said of releasing his own autobiography: “I thought Strictly was terrifying but my book has a release date and I haven’t started writing it yet. Don’t worry, I’m going to start right now. It will be really funny, I promise.”

Chris later shared a post from his management team about the book which read: “2024 Strictly Come Dancing winner, comedian @chrismccauslandcomedy has signed with Penguin Michael Joseph Publishing Director, Rowland White, to write a memoir for publication in autumn 2025… Chris’s autobiography will be published by @penguinrandomhouse @michaeljbooks on October 9th 2025. World Rights were acquired through Jacob Howe-Douglas @hdmanagement.”

Quick to respond to the update, Dianne wrote in the comments seciton: “I best get a special mention @chrismccauslandcomedy,” which was quickly flooded with messages back from fans.

@atieboddy132 said: “@diannebuswell or maybe even a chapter.” @shanice96naomi echoed: “@diannebuswell you deserve a chapter I think!” @scooby_who_ replied: “@diannebuswell surely entitled ‘Winning Isn’t Everything’ for the relevant 100 pages?” @rachev24 added: “@diannebuswell “guess the title of the autobiography” doesn’t quite have the same ring as “guess the flavour of the kitkat”!”
