Ahead of his tour with fellow Strictly pro Karen Hauer, Gorka Marquez is making the most of family time.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Gorka Marquez is making the most of family time now the 2025 show has ended by spending time with his family.

The fleet footed star took to Instagram to share a clip of a visit to Santa with his 972,000 followers. While he remained behind the camera filming his fiancée Gemma Atkinson could be seen smiling broadly as their delighted children Mia, 6, and son Thiago, 17 months, met the man in red.

Captioning the image the dancer wrote: “Quick visit to Father Christmas before the BIG day.” His Strictly colleagues Karen Hauer, Nancy Xu and Jowita Przystal all resonded with face emojis wth heart eyes to show their approval.

His fans were also loving the video and flooded his comments with well wishes. “Aww. I loved taking my daughter there. He really was Father Christmas. Enjoy whilst they believe,” one wrote.

“Wonderful. I love to the excitement in children at this time of year x,” another gushed.

A third enthused: “Love the the children the look on Mia’s face.” Another commented: “Beautiful children. Father Christmas is magical. xx.”

Meanwhile a sixth advised: “Such special memories and time of year. Cherish every moment xx.”

Gorka’s downtime comes ahead of a busy period for him after Christmas when he embarks on a tour with fellow Strictly pro Karen Hauer entitled Speakeasy.

Gorka, who has scored more perfect tens than any other dancer on the show, was teamed with Morning Live’s Dr. Punam Krishan in this years competion.

They became the fifth couple voted off the show on Halloween week after they danced a spooky Tango to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics while dressed as pirates.

His early exit led many fans to speculate this series could be the final one for Gorka as he also had an early exit in 2023 when he and BBC Radio star Nikita Kanda became the second couple to leave.

At the time, it was reported that the Spanish native had wrestled with his decision to join the 2023 series due to missing family time during the previous season.

Just days before the live shows, the dancer took to Instagram with a selfie of him crying after leaving his Gemma and their children in Scotland to relocate for rehearsals.
