Justin Theroux Is Obsessed With Olivia Rodrigo After Seeing Her Really Fun Show and More 226

Justin Theroux, Olivia Rodrigo.

Justin Theroux caught up with Us to dish on his current obsessions.

“I’m into Olivia Rodrigo. I went to see [her] this summer, which was really fun,” Theroux, 53, exclusively revealed in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “She was fantastic.”

Theroux was spotted at Rodrigo’s Guts tour show in Philadelphia back in July. He attended the concert alongside his now fiancée Nicole Brydon Bloom, her sister, Ava, and pal Robert Downey Jr., who brought his daughter, Avri, to the show.

“Back in the city of brotherly shoves,” Theroux captioned a selfie of him and Downey from their seats at the Wells Fargo arena.

In an August interview with Entertainment Tonight, Theroux revealed that he got to meet Rodrigo backstage after the concert.

“It was a legit fun show and then we actually went backstage and met Olivia afterwards,” he gushed at the time. “She was kind enough to come meet [Downey’s] daughter and you know it’s one of those things that’s very touching when you see [it] because his daughter just kind of froze and was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m meeting Olivia Rodrigo.”

Rodrigo isn’t the only artist on Theroux’s playlist at the moment. The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star tells Us that he also has a lot of love for British singer Towa Bird, who he plans on seeing in Brooklyn.

In addition to music, Theroux has also been listening to podcasts “Hidden Brain” and “Pivot” nonstop.

“I’m obsessed with Pivot because it’s Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway, and they always talk about two areas that I know nothing about, which is, like, tech, the stock market, media and other sorts of politics,” he explained. “But I just think they’re really smart, and I really like their relationship. I feel like a good podcast has a good relationship at its core.”

Theroux shares that he also listens to pals Will ArnettJason Bateman and Sean Hayes’ “SmartLess” podcast even though “they mock me every single episode.”

“I love anything that I can have a giggle,” he said. “And things aren’t taken too seriously.”

When it comes to TV shows, Theroux also has a fixation for the HBO documentary Chimp Crazy, which follows Tonia Haddix and her affinity for caring for primates at a facility under investigation for abuse. As a longtime animal lover and advocate, Theroux was aghast over it.

“All that stuff is insane,” he shared in disbelief. “People are still allowed to keep chimps, but, yeah, Chimp Crazy. I just finished it.”
