WNBA Angel Reese

Much like Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren in the NBA, the debate is raging between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark on the WNBA side.

The Sky player has just set a new record, but not without some nuances to add.

While the WNBA has resumed more than a week ago now, fans have started the debates again, particularly about the rookie of the year.

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are now the favorites, with an advantage for the Fever shooter. But Reese is doing very good things, like her 13 points and 20 rebounds with the Sky this Friday night.

Angel Reese is the first player in WNBA history to string together a back-to-back with 20 rebounds.

Angel Reese pinned for her rebounds

There’s no doubt about it, Reese knows how to accumulate rebounds in each game, to the point where many want to see her become rookie of the year.

Is it deserved? Well, some fans absolutely disagree. Many rebounds come from the player’s own misses, who also has trouble when it comes to finishing near the rim.

An anomaly for a center.

It’s easier to accumulate rebounds when you can catch your own misses, that’s for sure.

That’s why the statistic needs to be qualified, especially since the Sky lost again and Reese finished at 3/12 shooting. Not enough to smile about after the game.

She also breaks records for the number of missed layups.

I don’t realize how ugly this is coming from a professional athlete.

It’s not even funny anymore, it’s embarrassing.

Angel Reese knows how to grab rebounds, yes, but the Sky still doesn’t take advantage of it to win games.

Worse, with a negative differential, the interior struggles to make the difference. It’s Caitlin Clark who can smile when we see her results.
