The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special has been hit by chaos after the festive show’s winner was ‘leaked’ online, leaving fans of the BBC show in uproar.

Strictly Come Dancing’s festive cheer has been disrupted by a spoiler leak, revealing the winner of its upcoming Christmas special far too early and leaving fans devastated.

Some had been counting down the hours to the special Christmas Day episode, only to angrily accuse the BBC of “ruining” their festive “treat”.

However, the news was divulged by the notorious Strictly Spoiler social media account and website, which has also been known to reveal outcomes for the main show.

Express.co.uk will not be revealing the identity of the winner on the pre-recorded show, which is to showcase the talents of stars like comedian Josh Widdicombe and actress Tamzin Outhwaite.

However, those in the know have already taken to X to express their disappointment, with one lamenting: “You know what’s worse than the weekly #Strictly spoiler, when the Christmas winner leaks.”

Another was equally upset, saying: “Thanks for ruining my Christmas treat!” In a brazen move, the Strictly Spoiler website even boasts to its readers that, thanks to then, they can skip watching altogether.

It quipped: “No need to sit through the special whilst in a food coma or wait over three weeks to learn who wins the Christmas special… because my stocking is full to the brim of spoilers so here are the results!” It then spills the details on who clinched the coveted Glitterball trophy, as reported by the Mirror.

Spoiler disappointments aside, viewers are in for a festive delight on Christmas Day as the Strictly studio is decked out in enchanting winter wonderland decor.

There’ll also be plenty of celebrities: joining the lineup alongside Josh and Tamzin are Spencer Matthews’ wife Vogue Williams, athlete Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, racing sensation Billy Monger, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s very own Tayce to name a few.

Tayce is set to make a groundbreaking appearance as the first drag queen to grace the Strictly stage, partnered with Kai Widdrington.

Expressing excitement for the special episode, Tayce shared with the BBC: “I cannot wait to sleigh on the Strictly Ballroom floor. My partner and I are going to dance for our lives!

Meanwhile, Billy, set to pair up with Kai Widdrington’s former co-star Nadiya Bychkova on the dance floor, shared his trepidation.

“I’ve spent the last 12 months training 20 hours a week for an Ironman world record attempt, but the thought of donning sequins in front of Craig Revel Horwood fills me with a fear I’ve never experienced before,” he exclaimed.

“This is about as far from my comfort zone as it can get! My family are big Strictly fans, so I’m doing it for them and to raise awareness for what I’m doing for Comic Relief next year. I’m just hoping my leg doesn’t fall off mid-dance!”
