Call the Midwife fans were left stunned after they recognised an iconic star from the 2000s in the latest instalment of the BBC show, which saw the arrival of a new character.
Call the Midwife fans were left in utter shock when they caught sight of a familiar face from the noughties gracing their screens in the latest episode.
The cherished BBC drama made its comeback on Sunday night (January 19), and the new episode put Natalie Quarry’s character Rosalind in charge of first-time mother Norma (Alexa Davies) and her husband Don (Garmon Rhys).
However, the joy of delivery quickly turned to concern when Rosalind noticed something amiss with the newborn.
The devastating news was soon confirmed by Dr Turner (Stephen McGann), who explained that the baby had a blister loaded with spinal fluid a sign of spina bifida.
Upon learning that their daughter would require surgery, the distraught parents contemplated putting her in the care system after realising they couldnt provide for her needs.

As the story unfolded, a disheartened social worker, played by none other than Lisa Coleman, formerly known as Cam Lawson in CBBC’s iconic Tracy Beaker series, stated that resources were too stretched to intervene. This revelation left Nonnatus Houses midwives crestfallen, reports Wales Online.
Yet, it was the appearance of Lisa Coleman that stirred a buzz among viewers, with fans taking to X to express their surprise and amusement: One tweeted, “OMG IT’S CAM FROM TRACY BEAKER.”
While another remarked on the twist of fate, “The irony of Cam being a horrid social worker, the irony isn’t lost on me.” A third simply exclaimed, “Wtf Cam?!”
