Despite a few signings over the summer, many fans are worried about the current state of the Warriors.
Can the franchise dream of winning the championship at this stage? For Paul Pierce, the answer is very clear.
There have been many disappointments for the Warriors in recent years, and 2024 was no exception with an absence from the NBA playoffs.
The franchise lacks rhythm and wanted to renew its roster this summer, especially with the departure of Klay Thompson.
Buddy Hield replaced him in Golden State but fans remain worried, aware that the organization is losing momentum.
Worrying for the future? Certainly. Stephen Curry still hopes to take the Dubs to the top of the Western Conference, except that the roster does not seem to be up to par when you look at the competition.
It will take a small miracle for Steve Kerr and his men, and it seems that Paul Pierce is not part of the optimistic clan.
Paul Pierce Takes on the Warriors
In his recent podcast with Kevin Garnett, Pierce gave an update on the current situation of the Warriors.
He is not at all confident for the months to come, unless of course Golden State manages to get a star back on its roster:
Paul Pierce on the Warriors: “If you don’t have the personnel, then you have to be realistic. They don’t have a team capable of winning the championship today.”

The viral post of LeBron James and Steph Curry that stirs up rumors of a trade soon!
“The only way for Golden State to get back to the top is to find a way to get Giannis Antetokounmpo.”
Good luck getting Antetokounmpo, the Buck is literally untouchable in Wisconsin right now. There was the possibility of signing Paul George before free agency, but it was impossible to reach an agreement with the Clippers.
The Dubs will have to deal with this roster, and hope it’s enough.
Regarding Curry, Pierce was also very honest. The good news according to him is that the point guard will not leave the franchise. He will prefer to continue with it, until the end.
Paul Pierce on Stephen Curry: “He’s going to go down with the ship.
It’s about his legend, because for him, it’s the cherry on the cake today with the Warriors.
I saw Kobe (Bryant), he wasted his last years at the Lakers, but he still gave it his all, right? He didn’t complain. Same thing for Steph, he does that at Golden State.”
Will Steph Curry leave the Warriors if the results aren’t there? No for Paul Pierce, convinced that the point guard will continue, despite a disappointing roster. This 2024/25 campaign will be decisive for the future of the organization.
