With this loss, the Sky dropped to an 11-19 record, struggling to stay at the bottom of the WNBA playoff standings.

Reese did not post her usual double-double, finishing with just seven points, 14 rebounds and six turnovers.

Fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso recorded a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, but her effort was not enough to counter the Mystics and Stefanie Dolson, who closed the game with 17 points and six rebounds.

Chicago played without its leading scorer, Chennedy Carter, due to health and safety protocols, which further increased the pressure on Reese.
