Good Morning Britain viewers rushed to complain as Kate Garraway and Adil Ray sparked backlash.

During Friday’s instalment (October 25) of the ITV programme, fans were greeted with Adil, 50, and Kate, 57, who shared the top headlines of the day.

This included King Charles’ first speech as head of the Commonwealth and the discussion around legalising assisted dying.

However, while some fans were thrilled to see the presenters front the ITV show, others branded it “unwatchable” and switched off instantly. Taking to social media to share their thoughts, one fan complained: “My god. Adil is beyond irritating. Turning off.”

“Are Adil & Kate dressed in black to commemorate the death of #GMB as a news programme?” wrote another viewer.

A third stated: “Come on gmb we need a Adil warning you have spoiled my day already,” as another fumed: “Jeez why does Adil Ray and Kate Garraway have to shout all the time, they make themselves unwatchable . Absolutely painful pair, have a word or better still get rid of them GMB…”

Someone else agreed: “Cannot even watch when you have Adil on. Do you ever you viewing numbers down on certain days???”

It comes after fans were left concerned due to Adil and Kate’s outfit choices. Throughout the programme, viewers noticed that most of the presenters were dressed in black or dark clothing.

Adil sported a classic black suit which he paired with a matching black tie and a small poppy badge. Meanwhile, Kate rocked a maroon jumper dress with a large paper poppy.

Meanwhile their guest chef, Adejoké Bakare, opted for a black dress and a black blazer, almost identical to migration and human rights lawyer Jacqueline McKenzie.

This sparked concern amongst fans that a familiar face had passed away, leaving them wondering if the broadcasters were about to share the announcement live on air.

“Why is everyone wearing black or dark colour in Kate’s case, both the political ladies and the chef and Adil has a black tie #GMB,” wrote one viewer online.

Another agreed: “Who has died?? Everyone dressed in back on GMB” as a third echoed: “#GMB Why is every guest dressed in black today? Have I missed something?”
