I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! hosts Ant and Dec looked shocked when the line-up for the 2024 series was revealed, and one campmate in particular had Dec cringing
Ant and Dec may be hiding how they really feel about the I’m A Celebrity 2024 line-up, it’s claimed.
The hosts of the hit ITV show reacted to this year’s campmates in a clip posted on Instagram a few days ago. It’s clear the Geordie duo were shocked by the stars heading into the jungle, and one campmate had Dec cringing.
The video, which didn’t reveal the celebs, showed the pair clapping their hands, gasping and shouting “yes” as the campmates were revealed to them. “Good,” “very good,” and “brilliant” were all words used by the pair.
One star had the hosts cracking up and another left Dec asking:” What?,” and Ant asking: “Is he?”. Right at the end of the clip, Dec looked stunned by the star.

Body language expert Nicole Greenfield-Smith reckons Ant and Dec look “genuinely thrilled” by this year’s celebs but may be “suppressing” their true feelings about some of them for the sake of the cameras. She has teamed up with Mecca Bingo to share her wisdom on the show and spoke exclusively to Daily Star.
She said: “Ant and Dec seem to be genuinely thrilled by some of this year’s contestants – there’s a lot of exaggerated vocal emoting, open-mouthed smiling towards one another and positive gesturing such as clapping, air-punching and slapping the table.”

“There are a few moments where they both appear genuinely surprised – especially when we see Dec’s eyes widen, with his mouth open as he leans back in his chair – this signals he’s literally ‘taking a step back’ to process the information.”
“Then there are the places where the words and facial expressions don’t match – they’re uttering words like ‘brilliant’ but there’s slow blinking, face-touching and controlled expressions which may suggest they’re suppressing their gut-responses.

She suggested Dec can predict some controversy in camp, adding: “At the end, both are visibly shocked. Again, the exaggerated blink, the intakes of breath and the recoil backwards from Dec suggest there’s likely to be a controversy to come!”
This year’s rumoured cast include McFly’s Danny Jones, Loose Women star Jane Moore, Love Island star Maura Higgins, Strictly star Oti Mabuse, influencer GK Barry and WAG Coleen Rooney.
It wouldn’t be the first time the jungle sparked controversy with their campmates, either. The likes of MPs Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage have gone Down Under in recent years.
