Good Morning Britain hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway were left in hysterics as they spoke to couple Joyce Lambert and Norman Giller who recently got married

Friday’s edition of Good Morning Britain delivered a hearty dose of laughter as hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway were left gobsmacked by revelations from a pair of jovial newlyweds, who found love in the queue to view the Queen lying in state.

Presenters Adil Ray and Kate Garraway welcomed viewers for another engaging morning on GMB. Amidst discussing top headlines, they presented an extraordinary love story involving Norman Giller and Joyce Lambert, who recently exchanged vows.

In a remarkable twist of fate, Joyce, 89, and Norman, 85, crossed paths during their wait to pay tribute to Her Majesty. Their romantic tale, however, took several lighthearted turns as they made humorous digs at their own expense.

Joyce’s family had quite the reaction to Norman’s impromptu proposal, with Joyce recalling her initial thought that he had taken a tumble when he got down on one knee.

The studio erupted in amusement as Adil quipped, “Can I say Joyce, you’ve been very quiet and reserved, very ladylike. But from that one line that is an absolute cracker…,” reports the Mirror.

Joyce brought more chuckles with her great-grandson’s unwittingly hilarious comment, sharing: “I think my great-grandson really had the line. When my son was talking to his wife saying about mum’s getting married, my great-grandson, Harrison, turned round and said, ‘Grandmas don’t get married, they die!'”

Adil and Kate reacted with a mix of astonishment and mirth to Joyce’s confession. Learning of Harrison’s tender age of five, Adil observed: “I mean he’s right to a certain extent. But he’s got a lot to learn, hasn’t he.”

Kate playfully added in response: “Let’s just hope he’s not a mystic grandson!”

Viewers were utterly charmed by the vibrant couple on their screens, with fans quickly expressing their adoration for the humorous twosome. A thrilled fan took to Twitter to exclaim: “Norman and Joyce need their own show #loveintheir80s.”

Another fan wrote: “What a great couple – great listening to them.” There was even more affection from another viewer who chimed in: “Aww congratulations to them.”

Following a whirlwind courtship, Joyce and Norman celebrated their love by tying the knot in a cosy ceremony in Southend-on-Sea on October 18. The smitten duo, both having lost their partners in the past, found new beginnings when they were serendipitously introduced by their children, and according to them, it’s been an upward journey of joy since their first unexpected encounter.
