Gary Barlow insulted Rylan Clark when judging the talent on ITV’s X Factor with the pair having a bitter relationship ever since.
Rylan and Gary Barlow were previously said to be at loggerheads
Former X Factor star Rylan Clark has publicly “ended his feud” with Take That singer Gary Barlow after seven years. It comes as Gary, 53, made an unexpected kind gesture.
Posting to Instagram Stories on Saturday evening, Rylan, 36, shared a snap of a collection of wines. Gary has created Gary Barlow Wines and sent three bottles to the Celebrity Gogglebox star.
Rylan captioned the post in jest, writing: “The feud is over [crying laughing emoji]. Cheers @officialgarybarlow @garybarlowwines.”
It’s not the first time that Rylan has confirmed that they are now on better terms. Back in 2019, the stars met up at a showbiz event and posed for a picture together.
The two men had big smiles and their arms around each other for the friendly snap, which Rylan captioned: “After 7 years….. we’re good.”

Gary later confirmed the pair are now friendly by re-tweeting the photo and adding a thumbs up and heart emoji.
The reported fall out between the pair began way back in 2012 when Rylan appeared on ITV’s The X Factor as a contestant and Gary was a judge.
Despite trying to win judge Gary over by telling him he used to be in a Take That tribute band, Gary stopped the audition half way through saying: “Love your personality, hate your voice.”
Things only went from bad to worse for their relationship throughout the series, with Gary even referring to Rylan as a “joke contestant”. The TV judge also notably stormed off set to protest Rylan being dramatically saved over Carolynne Poole.
Gary sent Rylan some wine
The feud continued throughout shooting the show when the X Factor contestant got a fake tattoo of Gary Barlow’s face and nicknamed the judge “Gary Bore-low.”
Rylan also made fun of Gary by beginning one of his performances singing Take That’s Back For Good before cutting the track and telling Gary: “I ain’t really singing that, that’s just for you Gary, love you babe”.
Rylan has come a long way since being seen as a “joke” by Gary Barlow on the X Factor, and is now considered to be a household name. He went on to win Celebrity Big Brother, present the Xtra Factor, This Morning, Supermarket Sweep, and several other programmes across TV and radio.
