Bradley Walsh has reportedly secured a whopping deal to continue hosting The Chase. The beloved TV presenter, 64, has been on the hit ITV quiz show from the start in 2009.
His banter with the contestants and Chasers is part of the magic. And how he has reportedly signed a deal that will make him the second-highest talent on ITV – behind Ant and Dec.
Bradley has reportedly signed a contract worth nearly £4 million to continue his role on The Chase. It comes amid claims ITV executives who were worried he might leave.
The Sun reports that is an increase of up to £500,000 on top of his annual £3.5 million package. That would mean Bradley is now ITV’s highest-paid male presenter, trailing only behind the iconic duo Ant and Dec.
A source from the entertainment industry told The Sun: “During negotiations for his contract to be renewed, bosses at ITV were concerned he might quit if he wasn’t happy with his package.”
Bradley started out as a professional footballer before turning to comedy and TV hosting and acting. The talented star has also released albums.
He is well known for his roles as Danny Baldwin in Coronation Street and Graham O’Brien in Doctor Who. Bradley has also presented the revival of Gladiators with his son Barney Walsh.
