This Morning was abruptly halted after ITV co-star and radio presenter Nick Ferrari announced his engagement live on the show.
During Monday’s visit (January 6), Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley returned to the helm as they welcomed viewers back to the daytime show.
The presenting duo discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines including the dramatic weather warnings being issued across the country and the Hollywood winners who attended the Golden Globes on Sunday night (January 5).
But that wasn’t the only exciting news that viewers woke up to, as the pair welcomed the 65-year-old LBC presenter alongside relationship expert Vanessa Feltz where he shared the good news.
Cat began: “Ben, before all that, Vanessa is here alongside Nick Ferrari in the studio. We’ve got breaking news. Officially, Nick Ferrari is off the market.

“I am engaged to be wed to Clare [Patterson], we had the most idyllic Christmas, we had a brilliant time. Then we went down in Southern France and then after ten years together, I finally decided she can make an honest man out of me.”
He continued: “I did it at our favourite restaurant in the South of France and I wanted her to play a role in designing her engagement ring. So we went along to a DIY store and kept getting down on one knee.”
The radio host regularly appears on the beloved daytime show, but before he stepped into the world of broadcast journalism, he had a decorated career as a news reporter. He previously worked as a reporter on the Sunday Mirror and wuickly moved up as the editor of The Sun’s Bizarre.

During his time reporting showbiz, he interviewed Roger Moore on the set of the James Bond hit film Octopussy – and even appeared as an extra in the film.
Nick also worked at the Daily Mirror as an assistant editor and as a features editor of the News Of The World’s Sunday magazine. He has also made appearances on The Pledge on Sky News, Richard & Judy, GMTV, London Tonight and BBC London News.
