This Morning viewers were left unimpressed as Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley returned to host the latest episode of the ITV show and they all said the same thing

This Morning viewers had a unified reaction as Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley resumed their hosting duties on the latest episode of the ITV daytime show.

The dynamic pair were back on the iconic blue sofa on Thursday (September 19) morning, engaging in a chat with Juliet Sear about the correct way to slice a cake before revealing the day’s programme lineup.

After declaring September as the peak month for birthdays, Ben was spotted indulging in a cake and meticulously cutting a piece, only for baking guru Juliet to inform him that he hadn’t done it correctly.

One viewer took to X, previously known as Twitter, to comment: “How to cut a cake, how to put stuff away. Now sure how we’d cope without these invaluable life hacks on #ThisMorning.” Another chimed in: ‘How to cut a cake this show has got so much worse #ThisMorning.”

A third individual remarked: “So now we have people telling us how to cut cake properly.” A fourth social media user observed: “Those are some stingy cake portions. #ThisMorning.”

This comes shortly after fans criticised This Morning producers for “trying to make them despise the show even more” by inviting a woman who celebrates Christmas every day onto the show.

During the show’s festive segment, a woman surrounded by holiday decorations disclosed that she commemorates the holiday throughout the year because she never knows when her children, who work away, will visit.

She confessed to keeping the stockings perpetually filled and wouldn’t hesitate to enjoy a Christmas roast dinner any day of the year. Following the live interview, presenters Ben and Cat revealed that it was only 100 days until Christmas.

However, the premature onset of festive celebrations didn’t sit well with some viewers who took to social media to voice their displeasure. One disgruntled viewer wrote: “Oh grow up, stupid woman!”, reports the Mirror. Where did this ridiculous obsession with bringing Christmas earlier every year come from?”

Another chimed in: “Well done producers, you have made the viewers hate the show even more. F****n Christmas segments in September. ” A third person added: “I love Christmas because it’s not everyday of the year, it’s a special time of year which I love decorating the house for but I couldn’t do that everyday of the year.”
