BOSSES are bracing for wild weather in Australia when shooting starts next week — after a gustnado tore past the set.

Producers are preparing for everything from a heat wave to evacuation.

They have been on weather watch since the gustnado — a local nickname for a mini-tornado — battered Queensland with hailstones.

Currently, the area has severe weather warnings owing to the heat — but torrential rainstorms are predicted to hit.

A source said: “ITV bosses don’t know if they’re coming or going — its either factor 50 or umbrellas.

“Bosses have plans in place for all scenarios, they just wish they knew which one they were planning for.”

Producers insisted: “We have contingency plans for all weather.”

There will be a have a slightly different start to the series this year as bosses made a major change to the starting challenges.

ITV execs previously made the decision to axe Walk the Plank, which saw the famous faces suspended 314ft over the Brisbane coastline.

It was the campmates’ first challenge before they made their way to the infamous campsite.

Although producers decided to change things up, they will be replacing it with a new task – which they insist is just as scary.
