As Loose Women came to a close on Tuesday, Ruth Langsford made a show announcement.
The ITV star confirmed Loose Women would be pulled off the air, and an episode will not be shown on Wednesday.
The programme usually airs between Monday and Friday at 12.30pm and concludes at 1.30pm. However, on Wednesday, the show will be replaced by an ITV News special.
It is to facilitate the broadcast of The Chancellor’s Budget 2024, which will begin at 12.15 p.m. and end at 1.50 p.m.
Loose Women will be back on Thursday at its usual time of 12.30pm.
“I’ve got to stop you there,” Ruth said to her guests before adding: “We are running out of time massively. Thank you so much.
“That is it for today; we are not here tomorrow. It is the Budget, how lovely.”
She added: “But we will be back with you on Thursday at 12.30pm with Strictly’s Johannes and Montell.”
Chancellor Rachel Reeves will deliver Labour’s first Budget for 14 years on Wednesday. She has warned that it will involve “difficult decisions.”
It will outline the government’s plans for raising or lowering taxes. It also includes major decisions about spending on health, schools, police, and other public services.
The current leader of the opposition, Conservative Party leader Rishi Sunak, will give a speech responding to the Budget as soon as Reeves has finished.

Elsewhere on Tuesday’s Loose Women, Ruth was forced to halt an interview with Romesh Ranganathan and his mother as they chatted about their new show.
It seemed a fly kept invading the guests’ space, which led Ruth to issue an apology.
Romesh told the panel: “I think the problem with mum, if you don’t mind me saying, is she has got too much faith in me. I feel like she would assume that I am going to do really well… then I wouldn’t and she’d be really disappointed.”
“Sorry, that is our last fly,” Ruth interrupted as Romesh tried to bat away the fly with his hand.
