Lorraine Kelly SNUBSher own show the first day back after HOSTING just over half of her PROGRAMMESlast year!

Last year she hosted less than 60 per cent of her own shows.

And one has to wonder whether Lorraine Kelly has started the year as she means to go on by once again being replaced by stand in Ranvir Singh for her ITV morning programme which is named after her.

While the veteran television star did appear on December 31 in a pre-recorded special, the last time she hosted live was on December 12.

Ranvir, who shares the role of standing in for Lorraine with Christine Lampard, interviewed radio presenter Adele Roberts talking about her new Marathon challenge as well as Vera actor Riley Jones, talking about the show’s finale.

In 2024, Lorraine Kelly, 65, who is paid a salary of £568,000 for her presenting gig, only hosted 154 of 258 episodes of her show (59 per cent).

The Scottish presenter has headed up a chat show named after her on the channel since 2010.

However in recent years her appearances have become fewer and fewer, often being replaced by alternate hosts Christine Lampard, 45, and Ms Singh.

The regular occurrence inspired the creation of a social media account called ‘Where is Lorraine?’ – which shares updates on who is hosting the programme each day. It also shares ‘Bonus Lorraine’ updates when the presenter appears on different shows while absent from her own.

And to round out the year, the account has shared its ‘Lorraine Wrapped’ – which revealed she has hosted just 59.7 per cent of this year’s episodes, which equates to just 154 out of 258.

Impressively, the Wrapped showed that the most episodes Lorraine hosted in a row was just eight.

The graphic revealed that the presenter who most often stepped in for Lorraine was Mrs Lampard with 52 episodes (20.2 per cent), followed by Ms Singh with 49 (19 per cent).

And Kelly only ever hosted eight consecutive episodes, from January 2 to January 11 last year, before another host took over.

And as the presenter took her mammoth summer break later in the year, Christine was at the helm for 15 instalments in row.

This morning fans shared their dismay at the presenter’s absence.

‘Off to a strong start Lorraine, starting the year as we mean to go on?’ one said.

‘Go on Ranvir, getting that early gig in,’ another said.

‘Gosh, Lorraine has hosted 0% of her show so far this year,’ said another.

ITV have confirmed Lorraine will be back hosting her show on Monday.
