Former TOWIE star Pete Wicks could soon be waving goodbye to his Strictly Come Dancing journey as he looks set to be the next celebrity to be eliminated this weekend

Reality TV star Pete Wicks’ Strictly Come Dancing journey could come to an end very soon.

The former TOWIE star has been worried for weeks that his time on the BBC show could be taken from him. Pete and professional partner Jowita Przystał scored 27 points from the judges for their Cha-cha-cha last weekend. Wynne Evans and his partner Katya Jones were the latest pair to be booted off the programme after they landed in the dance off against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe.

However, it seems Pete could end up in the bottom two this weekend. Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan has weighed in on the series and believes Pete is at risk alongside Jamie Borthwick. Not holding back her thoughts, Ola said: “I think Pete and Jamie will be in the bottom two.”

“I think Pete’s tango isn’t going to be bad, but I think people are realising now that he shouldn’t be in the competition anymore. Jamie’s got the Foxtrot – Foxtrot is very technical, and he might struggle with that.” She added to Mecca Bingo: “I think JB will be safe this weekend. He’s got Charleston, so I think it’s going to be a really good and fun dance. Then you’ve got Montell doing the Quickstep, and because Montell was in the bottom two last week, I don’t think she’ll be in the bottom two this week.”

The bookies agree as Pete has been placed at 3/4 to be eliminated this weekend. Simon Kew, spokesperson for Grosvenor Sport, said: “Pete Wicks was 5/2 to be eliminated last weekend but he’s now priced at 3/4 to be the next to leave Strictly. He found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard last weekend, which wasn’t the first time either so it’s looking more likely that his ballroom journey will be coming to an end very soon.

“The TOWIE star must have some loyal fans who are keeping him in each week – can they save him for another week?” However, former Strictly pro Brendan Cole has slightly more faith in Pete’s efforts for this weekend. He told Sky Vegas: “I didn’t love his [Pete Wicks’] number on the weekend, but it wasn’t bad enough [to be voted out].”

Elaborating on the fact Saturday marked Pete’s ‘worst’ performance, Brendan did offer some positive feedback too, continuing: “Obviously, the audience were on board, because he’s making it through. Potentially, in the next few weeks, he could really do something quite special. Saturday night was probably one of his worst dances – if he was going to go, last night would have been the night for it to happen.”

Pete has even started to plan what he will do after his Strictly exit as his best mate Sam Thompson revealed he will fly to Australia. Made in Chelsea star Sam is currently Down Under working on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’s spin-off show. Pete travelled to the Australian jungle in 2023 to support Sam when he competed on the show and is planning to again.

Sam revealed: “Pete did say if he gets booted out of Strictly he might come out and see me! We’ll get to have another bridge reunion.” Pete also has another tempting reason to head to Australia as his rumoured girlfriend, Love Island’s Maura Higgins entered the jungle on Thursday night.
