This Morning was interrupted during Tuesday’s show as one celebrity made a surprise appearance, leaving Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard in hysterics

During Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, fashion guru Lisa Snowdon was schooling viewers on 80s fashion.

As models strutted their stuff on the runway, showcasing some top high street picks, hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were left stunned when a surprise guest made an appearance.

Comedian and writer David Walliams emerged in a black faux jacket and red trousers, completing the ensemble with comfy slippers.

Ben and Cat erupted into laughter as Lisa exclaimed: “Unbelievable, stunning!”

The hosts attempted to regain their composure as Ben made light of the outfit, suggesting it was his style. Lisa retorted: “Don’t get jealous now darling!”

As David paraded down the runway, Lisa informed viewers where they could purchase the showcased items, reports the Mirror.

Removing his jacket to reveal a sparkly sleeveless top, Cat cheered as he struck a pose for the camera. Commenting on the unusual choice of footwear, Ben enquired where they could be purchased, to which David admitted they were his own.

He responded: “Well, I couldn’t get any high heels to fit me, they’re quite specialist.”

Cat chimed in: “You should’ve gone to my dressing room, I’ve got big feet!”

Teasing that he had already explored her wardrobe earlier, David informed the ITV star he had tried everything on. Welcoming their guest, Cat jested: “So understated as always!”

Spreading his arms, David declared: “I’ve got a book out! It’s Christmas, I’ve got a book out!”

However, the ex-Britain’s Got Talent judge graced the screens not just for a chat he was there to delve into his upcoming book details.

Discussing his debut murder mystery novel, David had a slightly uncomfortable moment as he let slip a major plot detail live on air. Revealing too much about one character’s fate in his book, he exclaimed: “Oh I’ve given it away now!”

In a touching part of the interview, kids sent in video questions for David, displaying their curiosity about his flourishing career as a children’s author.

One child asked what his favourite book was as he replied: “My favourite book is The Twits by Roald Dahl because I think it’s hilarious! Also, I think it’s very inventive because most children books have children in them.

“They’re not the lead characters in The Twits, it’s about an old married about an old married couple who hate eachother and anyone married can really relate to that!”
