The opening night of the Strictly Come Dancing Tour has been postponed due to Storm Eowyn, which is expected to bring 100mph winds to Scotland and a red weather warning.
Amy Dowden, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley will be back on the dancefloor
Scottish fans of Strictly Come Dancing faced a letdown as the much-anticipated tour’s opening date in Glasgow was postponed.
While the beloved BBC dance contest takes its charm on a nationwide tour, show officials had to fire out an urgent update due to the red weather warnings. Scotland is bracing for the brunt of Storm Eowyn and is poised to experience winds reaching 100mph.
According to the show producers: “Due to the red weather warning in place tomorrow, the Friday evening performance of Strictly Come Dancing The Live Tour will be rescheduled to Sunday evening, 26 January.”
The timings, too, have been adjusted, with doors opening at 17.30 and showtime set for 18.30. The Mirror reports that those with tickets needn’t worry; their existing passes remain valid for the rescheduled event.

However, those who can’t make it may seek refunds by contacting their original sales point. Organisers extended their apologies for any trouble caused.
Though some followers were prepared for the change, there were murmurings about the announcement’s timing. Social media responses to the news included gripes about tardiness with remarks like: “Could have made this decision five hours ago,” while another expressed relief: “Finally.”
