Emmerdale enthusiasts believe they’ve deduced the identity of the character who will meet their end in the impending frozen lake stunt. The ITV soap recently whetted fans’ appetites with a trailer showcasing flashforward snippets.
The suspenseful scenes spotlighted a host of beloved characters such as Caleb Miligan (William Ash), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), along with an unidentified hand trapped beneath a frosty lake.
Further information about the icy stunt was subsequently disclosed, revealing that the scene was shot during nocturnal filming sessions prior to Christmas, necessitating the skills of a special effects firm to fabricate the frozen lake at the village’s periphery.
But the question remains: who is submerged under the ice, and will they make it out alive?
New arrival Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) was a popular guess among viewers to be ensnared in the frozen lake, following the revelation of his past sexual abuse towards his daughter Ruby (Beth Cordingly) during her teenage years.

In recent months, Billy has been embroiled in illicit boxing, a kidnapping incident, and also mourned the loss of his father-in-law Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) over the festive period.
