GB News: Andrew Pierce and Beverley Turner clash over White House showdown
A tense row erupted between Andrew Pierce and Beverley Turner as they discussed the recent meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, which featured the leaders embroiled in an extraordinary row.
Mr Trump accused Mr Zelensky of “gambling with World War Three” in a series of testy exchanges, while Mr Zelensky warned the US would “feel it in the future” if it did not continue to support Ukraine.
After Pierce accused his co-star of being an “appeaser”, Turner launched a scathing rant on GB News.
The 51-year-old began: “We’ve got a lot of old capital established men sitting around and talking about how nothing can change but you know what, it hasn’t worked well for everybody over the years.
“It’s worked well for a small number of people and we’ve got a new coalition in The White House who are putting a big line through that. Call it what you like. Call in the deep state. Call it the military industrial complex, whatever it is.”

She continued: “But if that means fewer people die, I am on board and I keep bringing it back to that. There are too many innocent people and when you’ve statesmen and politicians coming out saying, ‘You are an appeaser’. I want peace, I don’t know how to explain that without upsetting people.”
Pierce went on to claim that Russian president Vladimir Putin would have been the person with “the biggest smile on his face” after the showdown in The White House.
Interjecting, Turner declared: “We don’t know that, Andrew. How do you know that? Have you got him on FaceTime?”
Pierce said it was because Putin humiliated his rival. “And he should’ve been,” a furious Turner responded.
This led the broadcaster to hit back: “No he shouldn’t have. He’s defending his country from an invader. Why don’t you get that Russia invaded Ukraine, Bev? Look up the meaning of the word invade. How would you feel if they invaded this country?”

Turner called out her co-host for delivering a “simplistic analysis” before insisting she wasn’t defending Putin for invading Ukraine. After being accused of “falling for all the conspiracies” by Pierce, Turner pointed out that “billions of pounds” have gone missing.
“Mostly in Putin’s back pocket,” Pierce responded.
Turner launched a fiery rant once again, declaring: “I’m not saying that Putin was right to invade Ukraine three years ago. I’m saying you have to look at the provocation which led to that point and you have to go back to what does Putin want?
“What did he want from that invasion and what does he want now? And all I can see is loads of blokes lining up and saying, ‘This is no good because if we don’t stop Putin, he will invade again.'”
She explained: “NATO has edged closer to the east since the ’90s and he has not edged closer to the west. So it’s all based on this premise that he’s a psychopath. Let’s all just be a little bit more grown up about it.”
But Pierce was having none of it as he concluded: “He is a psychopath, by the way. Putin is a psychopath.”
