If you like to use your stove often, you’ll know that it can get dirty quite often, too.

I have an induction stove with a glass cooktop and I absolutely hate it when burnt food and grease gets stuck on it. It always seems almost impossible to scrape off and clean.

Instead of having to constantly clean the glass on your stove, here are six ingenius tricks that will leave your stovetop shining!

1. The scraping method

If your cooktop has a thick layer of junk and dried-up grease on it, it’s unlikely that a cleaning product like a spray will work at this point.

You need to put on some gloves and scrape the grime away yourself. First, pour a thin layer of cleaning product on the layer of gunk and then use a razor blade to carefully scrape it off.

2. The towel method

Find an old hand towel that you’re no longer using. Pour some vinegar on your cooktop and sprinkle the surface with plenty of baking soda.

Then dip the towel in warm water and place it on top of the glass cooktop. Leave the towel like that for 15 minutes. Finally, remove it and wipe off all the excess junk and foam.

3. The vinegar and baking powder method

Just like the towel method, sprinkle baking soda on top of the stove and then pour vinegar on it. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes and then wipe it off with a wet cloth.

4. The silicone method

First of all, rub the stains with a silicone spatula. Make circular movements to loosen the top layer of dirt. Then blend four tablespoons of baking powder and a tablespoon of vinegar together.

Pour the liquid over the stains and let it sink in for five minutes. Then scrub it down with a microfiber cloth. The last step is to wipe everything with a wet cloth.

5. The ammonia and alcohol method

Ammonia might smell bad, but it’s a real problem solver. Mix one part ammonia with 10 parts water and a tiny bit of alcohol. Spray this on the glass cooktop and allow it to work a few minutes before wiping it with a clean cloth.

6. Detergent method

Pour some detergent over the stove and sprinkle baking powder over it. Spray some hydrogen peroxide on it and stir the mixture with your finger, using gloves of course. Use a sponge to rub away the dirt and then wipe it off with a cloth.
