The vote count for this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is finally in.
McFly frontman Danny Jones has taken the crown as King of the Jungle, edging out with 55.2% of the public vote, ITV disclosed. He triumphed over television’s own Coleen Rooney, who garnered a close 44.8%.
Before the last showdown, voting figures showed Jones leading with 41.36%, followed by Rooney at 33.47% and the Reverend Richard Coles with 25.18% in the bid for the final trio, the programme revealed. A visibly moved Danny expressed his joy on Sundays episode when Ant and Dec announced him as the champion, saying: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk.”
With utmost gratitude, he acknowledged his supporters and amusingly remarked on the joys of being popular. As Ant and Dec declared him the victor, he uttered: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it’s a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much.”, reports the Mirror.

Leading up to the winner reveal, Danny and Coleen reflected on their unforgettable three-week stint in the jungle. Describing the experience, Danny said: “This is totally insane. I’ve learned so much about myself, and that’s because the camp mates were unbelievable. They made it so easy for us to get through the hard times.”
Coleen opened up about her jungle journey: “I’ve had some of the hardest times I’ve ever had, some of the highest highs, and just tried to have fun along the way. It was way harder, harder than what it comes across on TV, but it’s real in there. You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic.”

She continued with heartfelt sentiment: “I’m a proud mum, I’m a proud wife, I’m a proud daughter, it’s very rare that I’m proud of myself, so it means a lot. It’s very rare that I put myself first, so yeah these are happy tears! ” Reflecting on her experience, she called it a ‘strange experience’ and shared: “It gave me time to think about me, my strengths and weaknesses.”
She then joyfully stated it was ‘her turn’ to make her children proud after years spent admiring their football star father.
Post-finale festivities saw Danny and Coleen gleefully reunite with their loved ones and campmates as they returned to the embrace of luxury life. Danny found his arms wrapped around his wife Georgia at the exit, before they journeyed to the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort for well-deserved relaxation.
