ITV The Chase’s Bradley Walsh branded ‘so rude’ by player in gruelling head-to-head round

The Chase’s Bradley Walsh struggled to win over one contestant on the ITV game show after they branded his “rude” over a surprising comment.

One player on The Chase branded host Bradley Walsh “so rude” after she was stumped by one difficult question.

During Friday’s visit (January 24) to the ITV studios, the former Coronation Street star welcomed four new quizzers onto the teatime show.

The 64-year-old welcomed contestants Richard, Jess, Rahul, and Jude onto the programme to put their general knowledge to the test. The quartet went up against Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan who certainly brought her A-game for the intelligent bunch.

First up to the podium was Rahul who wowed the Gladiators presenter when he successfully added £4,000 to the jackpot after a nail-biting head-to-head round.

Next up was Jess from Leeds, who was less successful than her teammate and was sent packing after the professional quizzer caught her in record time.

Next up was retired policeman Richard who added an eye-watering £6,000 to the bank after. But things took an unexpected turn when final player Jude stepped up to the podium.

Similarly to her teammate, she impressed viewers when she earned £6,000 in her cash-builder round. When she moved on to the intimidating head-to-head round with the 42-year-old auburn beauty.

During the nail-biting round, Bradders asked her: “In Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the title character travels to England on a ship called what? A) Hera, B) Aphrodite, or C) Demeter).”

Before Jude could comment, the dad-of-two joked: “Another guess” to which she turned to him and defiantly said: “So rude, but yeah, it was. IT was a complete guess.”

Bradley replied: “Well, honestly is the best policy” to which she countered: “Well, do you know what? It was an educated guess so let’s go with that. Hera and Aphrodite, hmm. Demeter was somewhere in my mind.”

To which Bradley confirmed: “That was guess. So, the answer was Demeter, you got that right. But the Demeter was called Demeter because it was Demeter”, he said as he stretched out his arms.

Thankfully, the TV star managed to make it through to the final round with the rest of her successful teammates with a total of £16,000 in the jackpot.

With just three members, the team correctly answered 13 questions between them in two minutes, but that was no match for the northern lass.

Jenny correctly answered 16 questions right in a row with 43 seconds remaining on the clock, leaving the team empty-handed.

The Chase airs on weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX
