Netflix fans are gripped by ‘best of the best’ crime drama Collateral – and have ended up binge-watching ever single episode in one day.
The four-part TV show, created and written by David Hare, hit our screens in 2018 on BBC Two.
Telly fans will be happy to know that despite it being released seven years ago on the Beeb, they are now able to watch it on streaming service Netflix.
Netflix’s official synopsis reads: ‘Investigating the murder of a pizza delivery man, a London detective uncovers a tangled conspiracy involving drug dealers, smugglers and spies.’
The drama is directed by S.J Clarkson.
Collateral boasts a star-studded cast of Carey Mulligan, John Simm, Billie Piper, Nicola Walker, Kae Alexander, Nathaniel Martello-White, Ben Miles, Vineeta Rishi and Rob Jarvis.

Many have taken to various online sites to share their rave reviews.
One wrote on Reddit: ‘Another binge-worthy British short murder mystery. Carey Mulligan at her best and all the crews! But they said there won’t be a season 2.’
Another added: ‘Wife and I binged it and walked away happy.’
A third chimed in: ‘I really enjoyed this one. Carey Mulligan is so good in this.’
‘I love that Netflix is putting out more of these crime noir shows, there have been some great ones lately,’ a fourth confessed.
Meanwhile others took to review site Rotten Tomatoes to give their say on the matter.
And on IMBD, one user said: ‘I found this series to be very riveting. It was multi-layered with characters stories intertwined. I was sorry when it was over.’
Another said: ‘We really enjoyed this show! Wish it were longer! It was fun and entertaining! We wish it had more episodes. Very enjoyable and there were some thrills! It was thrilling.’

The mini-series was awarded 79% on the Tomatoemeter and 66% on the Popcornmeter.
Back in 2017 it was revealed that the show was going to be made.
Producer David Hare said at the time: ‘I’ve been writing drama for the BBC since 1973, but this is my first original series.
‘I’m thrilled that it has such a stunningly gifted cast.’
While Controller of BBC Drama Piers Wenger added: ‘Collateral is a highly imaginative, thought-provoking and utterly contemporary state of the nation thriller written by Britain’s foremost political dramatist.
‘It is a great honour to welcome Sir David Hare back to the BBC and to be working with both he and The Forge on this outstanding piece of original work.’
