Strictly Come Dancing fans can expect Chris McCausland’s autobiography on shelves later in the year, but the comedian admitted he is yet to start writing it.
Chris McCausland’s autobiography is set for release in October
Chris McCausland confessed he hasn’t started writing his autobiography, even though a date has already been set for its release.
The comedian, who was crowned the winner of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Dianne Buswell last month, has signed with publishing director Rowland White to write a memoir about his life.
The Liverpool-born star said: “I thought Strictly was terrifying but my book has a release date and I haven’t started writing it yet. Don’t worry, I’m going to start right now. It will be really funny, I promise.”

Chris admitted he is yet to start writing his book
Rowland White said: “Like the rest of the country, I’ve been both gripped and incredibly moved by Chris and Dianne’s dazzling progress through Strictly.
“What had seemed scarcely possible quickly confounded all our preconceptions and expectations. But, of course, Strictly was only the most recent chapter of Chris’s remarkable story.”
He added: “I can’t wait for people to read it all. It’s going to be a huge pleasure and privilege for me and the whole team here at MJ to help make that happen.”
Chris made history as the first ever blind contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and went on to win the competition.
He struck up a close bond with his professional partner Dianne, who demanded Chris give her a “special mention” in his new book.

Admitting he had no hope of lasting in the competition, the actor continued: “I don’t know what to say. I honestly thought I would go out in the first week or two. I know no one went out in the first week but I thought I still could. We’ve just lasted and lasted.”
Gushing over his partnership with Dianne, 35, Chris declared: “She’s got so much out of me and she deserves this so much. She is one of the easiest people to be funny with that I’ve ever met. Unless she changes her number she’s stuck with me.”
Despite winning the show, Chris was unable to commit to performing on the Strictly live tour.
He explained that the rigours of the competition, combined with his pre-existing stand-up commitments, made the tour impossible to fit into his schedule.
