Kelvin and Liz Fletcher have excitedly shared an ‘exclusive announcement’ as they joined morning TV live from their bustling farm. Despite having their own show, the couple, along with their family, are set to give Lorraine Kelly’s audience a sneak peek behind the scenes of their rural life.

Chatting to Lorraine Kelly on Thursday, January 16 straight after the school run, Kelvin quipped: “I didn’t feel like I was living the dream this morning, when no one would do what they were told, that’s the children, not the animals, the animals are normally the best behaved really.”

Lorraine, clearly amused by the situation, remarked: “It’s amazing how life turns out, there you are, all those years on Emmerdale and you were so brilliant on Strictly but you were going to go to Hollywood. You were going to go to Los Angeles, there were a lot of doors opening there, lots of auditions lined up and then of course, COVID hit. So you’ve gone from Hollywood to being a farmer, you couldn’t make it up could you?”

Kelvin responded with a touch of irony: “Hollywood to Cheshire, I didn’t quite plan for that, it’s funny how things turn out and with our family now, it’s a life that we never envisaged but it’s a life we can’t imagine not being like that.”

On the show, Lorraine excitedly teased viewers with: “And you’ve got a bit of an announcement for us which we are all very excited about…” Liz then chose the platform to share her big news live on air, saying: “Over the next few weeks and months we’re going to be sharing with you and the viewers a bit of an exclusive insight into our life on the farm. It’s going to be an exciting few months with you guys.”

Reflecting on raising their children in such a unique environment, Liz remarked: “The kids are all at different ages so Marnie and Milo are definitely a help, the twins are an absolute liability,” reports Manchester Evening News.

Kelvin chimed in with his perspective: “I think the best thing about having the kids for me is their understanding of the responsibility you have with a farm and the privilege it is. Understanding where our food comes from the hard work, the ups and downs.”
