Ant and Dec WA/RN I’m A Celebrity’s Dean as he claims ‘YOU WON’T SEE ME TOMORROW’

I’m A Celebrity 2024 hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were left comforting Dean McCullough after he burst into tears after calling time on the latest trial

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly made their thoughts pretty clear on I’m A Celebrity on Tuesday, as Dean McCullough dramatically quit the trial moments in.

The radio star faced The Sinister Sarcophagus, and within minutes he was halting the challenge. Locked inside a mummy figurine for the duration of the trial, it all became too much for the campmate and he screamed the famous line: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here…”

Dean had learned from hosts Ant and Dec that he’d have to answer a series of Egypt-related questions. For every question that he got right, a star would be lowered down and he would have to release it using only his mouth within 30 seconds.

After he commented that the type of trial was his “worst nightmare”, he was soon locked in and joined by sand, giant mealworms and crickets. He got off to a good start and answered two questions correctly, before managing to secure two stars.

But within minutes Dean had enough, and called time on the challenge. With that he was removed from the figurine and told he could not win any extra stars.

As Ant and Dec reacted to Dean’s decision they were visibly shocked, with Dec pulling a face at the camera. He looked at Ant and both of them seemed awkward, until they realised just how shaken up Dean was.

As Dean staggered towards them he was sobbing and finding it hard to breathe, as he explained what had freaked him out. Dec rushed over to him and grabbed his arm, as he and Ant then comforted the crying star.

As the pair urged Dean to breathe and take it easy, they soon were back to making quips before Ant issued a warning. Ant told Dean that his campmates “would not be thrilled” with him for only getting two stars.

He called it “not so good news” before Dec taunted Dean, asking if he could come and watch him tell his campmates. Dean called them “sick” and “awful” before admitting he was embarrassed, as he told them that he didn’t want to go back to the camp.

He told the hosts: “I can’t go back there,” before asking to stay with them. As Ant and Dec told him they’d see him in camp in the morning for the next vote result, he quickly quipped back: “You won’t see me tomorrow.”
