BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood CALLED OUT ON AIR as CO-STAR EXPOSES ‘STRUGGLE’.

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty was quick to call out her co-star Carol Kirkwood during Thursday morning’s show.

BBC Breakfast star  Carol Kirkwood was left red-faced on Thursday morning as her co-star exposed her live on air. During the show, viewers saw a slight presenter switch-up as Naga Munchetty was hosting alongside Nina Warhurst.

Usually, the BBC star anchors the programme with Charlie Stayt; however, during the latest instalment, he was nowhere to be seen. Naga was quick to highlight how similar her name was to Nina’s before calling out Carol’s past mistake.

As the weather star wrapped up the forecast, informing people it’s set to get colder, she touched on Friday’s weather. Carol commented: “A lot of dry weather, it’s going to be a cold day, perhaps just not quite as cold as it’s going to be today or tonight, Nina and Naga.”

Back in the studio, Naga replied: “You’re going to struggle with Nina and Naga, Naga and Nina today aren’t you? You struggle with calling me Nana!”

Embarrassed by the blunder she’s made in the past, Carol burst out laughing and put her hand over her head. Explaining the name mix-up, Naga shared Nana was the name of her producer.

She asked Nina: “Has she ever called you Nana?” Although her co-star quipped: “No, only you Naga!”

As the weather star continued to giggle while Naga called out to her, Nina commented: “She never struggles with anything! Thank you, Carol.”

However, it wasn’t only Carol who was red-faced during the show as Naga was ‘shamed’ by her co-star earlier on in the show.

While speaking about The Vicar of Dibley stamps set to be released by The Royal Mail, the duo commented on how quick time seems to be fleeting.

Seeing a clip of Dawn French in the sitcom, Nina said: “Looking at that Naga, it’s the kind of show where I go, ‘Oh, it was only a few years ago’. But no, it was such a long time ago!”

Agreeing, Naga commented on how quick time seems to be going. She replied: “We’re already at the time where we stop saying Happy New Year, apparently. I don’t think I’ve said it to Carol, though.”

Taken aback, Nina jokingly quipped: “Have you not?! Shame on you.” However, the BBC host was quick to defend her mishap, confessing she hadn’t seen Carol yet.

Handing over to Carol, she told the presenters that Naga had messaged her to celebrate the start of the year. After the weather forecast, Naga clarified: “I did see the message! I checked, and we did send a message very early on New Year’s Day.”

Poking fun at Naga, Nina added: “I’m sure you’re not the only one who can’t remember everything about the morning of New Year’s Day.”

Not saying anything, the duo shared a coy look while laughing before moving on to the next segment.
