BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst gave viewers a rare glimpse into her life off-screen during Sunday’s programme (December 22), surprising her co-host.
She was sharing hosting duties with Roger Johnson on this morning’s episode and the pair chatted about the Strictly Come Dancing special, titled Strictly Come Dancing: 20 Fabulous Years, which aired on Saturday night.
The celebratory show paid homage to the late great Bruce Forsyth and former star Caroline Flack, featuring interviews with the judges, dancers, and contestants, along with exclusive backstage content to mark two decades of the dance extravaganza on TV, reports the Express.

After a snippet of the show played out, Nina remarked: “Looks like a gorgeous episode,” before divulging: “Another one that I missed last night because… I was out socialising for once.”
Her confession left her co-presenter Roger stunned, as he responded with a surprised “Were you?”, while Nina elaborated: “Into bed early obviously, but it’s on my list for the Christmas telly binge.”
With a grin, Roger then shared his own similar tale. “Yes, I was out as well,” he confessed, prompting Nina to spin around, beaming back at him.
Finishing his point he said, “I went to bed early though. Got to,” quickly shifting gears to introduce the upcoming weather report.

Nina is well-known for maintaining the privacy of her personal life. She previously offered BBC Breakfast viewers a peek into her relationship back in October this year, once again while co-presenting alongside Roger.
While discussing Harry Redknapp’s philosophy that the key to a joyful marriage is to avoid workplace chats at home, Nina shared: “I think lots of partners would say ‘just don’t talk about work’,” then confessed, “Certainly my husband would.”
Nina tied the knot with Fed by Ted founder, Ted Fraser, back in 2014. Their paths crossed during a holiday and swiftly led down the aisle within one year after their initial encounter.
