Strictly Come Dancing fans are concerned that Dianne Buswell may depart the show after her glitterball triumph this month. The 35-year-old Australian dancing ace, who became a firm favourite on the BBC staple since her arrival in 2017, dazzled fans alongside blind comic Chris McCausland, 47, as they clinched the Strictly crown at this month’s live final.

It was a sweet victory for Dianne as she snagged the series title for the first time. She had previously reached second place last year with EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, and in 2018, alongside YouTube sensation Joe Sugg, 33, who she began a relationship with post-show, reports the Mirror.

Post-victory, with a non-Strictly tour slated for next year, supporters can’t shake the feeling that Dianne might swap her sparkling gowns for new opportunities beyond the dance floor. Many fans have been speculating about her future on Strictly online.

One said: “I can see Dianne leaving, I don’t think she’ll be able to top this partnership and this series and plus she’s wanted to branch out into TV as well.”

A second said: “Could easily host a tv show of some description.” A third said: “I wouldn’t be surprised if Dianne left to focus either on other career developments or family.”

Speculation has mounted as earlier in the year, Dianne expressed her enthusiasm for an upcoming tour alongside her Strictly Come Dancing colleague Vito Coppola in 2025. She announced to her fans: “We are so, so excited to finally introduce you all to our brand new show. We’ve been working on this project for such a long time and we cannot wait to share this special show with the whole of the UK in 2025!”

Dianne has also previously hinted at expanding her career horizons towards acting in a conversation with Heat Magazine. She said: “It’ll be my eighth year of Strictly next year and I’ve been so lucky with all my partners. They’ve all brought something different, and you learn a lot from each person. But I have other ambitions, too.”
