Dianne Buswell is preparing for a difficult goodbye as she offered an update on her parents’ stay in the UK. The Strictly Come Dancing star was delighted when Mark and Rina made the trip from Australia to watch her perform live in the BBC One dance contest.
Dianne and her celebrity dance partner Chris McCausland had the goal of making it through to week 11 of Strictly’s 2024 series, the week after the annual Blackpool special, as that’s when Dianne’s parents would be in the UK.
It meant it was the first time Mark and Rina were able to watch her in action live in the ballroom since she joined the hit programme back in 2017. But not only were they in the audience to see Dianne perform, they were later in the Strictly ballroom to see their daughter win the whole competition.
There were tears from Dianne, Chris and her family as they lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy following the glittering grand final on December 14. Since then, Chris and Dianne have gone their separate ways, with Dianne able to spend some much-welcomed family time with not only her parents but also her siblings, nieces and nephews as they also visited for Christmas.
But after some of her family left after the new year celebrations, Dianne is now preparing for Mark and Rina to leave and head back home to Australia. She shared a number of snaps with her followers on Instagram in which she and her boyfriend Joe could be seen enjoying a wholesome winter outing.
