BREAKING NEWS: Mohamed Salah makes new Liverpool contract declaration as agent arrives on Merseyside today. Will Mohamed Salah be signing new contract soon?

Despite the challenging circumstances, Mohamed Salah is determined to remain at Liverpool. His agent, Ramy Abbas, is reportedly in Merseyside this weekend and is expected to attend Sunday’s game against Manchester United at Anfield.

In November, following Liverpool’s 3-2 win at Southampton, Salah expressed frustration about not being offered a new contract..

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match against Ruben Amorim’s team, Salah admitted that negotiations for an extension remain far from reaching an agreement.

“Do I think this is my last season? So far, yes. It’s the last six months,” Salah said. “There’s no progress, and we’re still far apart. I’m focused on having an extraordinary season rather than worrying about the contract. I don’t want to look back and feel I was distracted; I want to be proud of what I achieved.”

Salah acknowledged the desire to leave a lasting legacy at Liverpool, stating: “People will always compare me with legends like Gerrard and Dalglish, but just being in that conversation is an honor. Eight years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined this, but now, I’m proud of my achievements.”

Discussing his ambitions, Salah revealed that winning the Premier League with Liverpool remains a top priority, even over the Champions League.

“Maybe because we didn’t get to celebrate our Premier League win properly last time, or maybe it’s because this is my final year here, but I’m more motivated than ever to win the league and leave something special for the city.”

Salah also emphasized his commitment to improvement: “During breaks, I reflect on what I need to enhance—my fitness, composure, or shooting. I stay focused on details to ensure I contribute significantly to our success.”

The forward acknowledged the challenges ahead, including competition from Arsenal, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester City. However, he remains optimistic: “Winning the Premier League again would be incredible.

My goal is to play a pivotal role in achieving that, ensuring my contributions make a real difference. We’ve won almost everything, but securing the league a second time would be extraordinary.”
