This Morning fans could hardly believe their eyes when Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard tried out a new wellness trend on the show – and it received mixed reviews.
This Morning fans were left asking “what is happening” after Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley tested out an unusual new wellness trend.
During Tuesday’s visit (January 14) to the ITV studios, the dynamic duo welcomed viewers back to the daytime show as they discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines.
This included the latest updates following the ongoing LA wildfires and the news that negotiators are set to finalise Gaza ceasefire detains in Qatar.
However, fans were left scratching their heads just minutes into the daytime show after they tested out a new wellness trend that sees clients swinging in a hammock.
The dynamic duo were treated to a live performance of Over the Rainbow by the therapist as their assistant brushed their hair and massaged their backs while they relaxed in the hammocks.
This Morning took an unexpected turn on Tuesday
It didn’t take long before viewers flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their confusion online. One user penned: “What the feck am I watching? Can Cat and Ben stay asleep for the next 2 hours [four prayer emojis] #ThisMorning.”
Another agreed: “This is making me cringe #ThisMorning” as a third chimed in with: “This is absolutely 100% the worst thing that has ever happened on the show. Ever #thismorning.”
A fourth echoed: “Sweet Jesus. I’m embarrassed and I’m not even there #thismorning” while another added: “This is beyond cringe #ThisMorning.”

While Vanessa Feltz and Ben acknowledged that a lack of sleep would ultimately take its toll, Cat made the bold assertion: “He’ll sleep when he’s dead.”
Vanessa issued an awkward chuckle while Ben reported: “That was quite dramatic!” Undeterred, Cat affirmed: “It’s ‘true’! Sleep when you’re dead!”
Thankfully, Giles also chucked at Cat’s extraordinary pronoucement, jokingly responding: “And it won’t be that long!” Cat joined the ITV show last year alongside Ben as the two new permanent hosts.
According to The Sun, the 48-year-old has recently signed a new 12-month contract. This would mean Cat would remain on the show until 2026, although she may not be around for long after her contract runs out for a second time.
