GB News SPARKS OUTRAGE as FANS FUME at ‘INSENSITIVE’ Southport MURDER TRIAL SEGMENT.

GB News viewers issued complaints after the broadcasters abruptly moved on from discussing the heart-breaking Southport murders.

GB News faced backlash from viewers after discussing Southport murderer Axel Rudakubana’s sentencing.

Presenters Stephen Dixon and Ellie Costello revealed that the 18-year-old was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 52 years for killing three schoolgirls and attacking 10 other people.

The breakfast show also delved into the horrifying details of the crimes, the life-changing effects on the survivors and Rudakubana’s absence from the trial.

However, after going to a weather update on Storm Eowyn, the topic quickly shifted to the glitzy Oscar nominations.

This angered viewers as one questioned: “How can GB News go from discussing Southport killing to non important Oscars?”

A second fumed: “The Oscars??? Who cares????? Self-gratification.”

Another stated: “One minute brutal murders of children, enter stage left meaningless fawning over pointless Woke Oscar’s.”

As a fourth viewer echoed: “Who gives a flying one about the Oscars. This is a bigger yawn than the so-called sports report segment.”

Before moving on from the murder trial segment, Ellie declared: “One of the reasons Axel Rudakubana chose that location chose that location is that there would be defenceless little girls there.

“The dance teacher who was there who is now suffering what could only be described as survivor’s guilt, she says ‘how can I be alive when these children are dead.’”

A solemn Ellie continued: “She couldn’t have done any more, she herself was stabbed five times, but she feels guilt that she survived and children died.

After the weather report, the presenters were all smiles as Stephen revealed: “The Oscar nominations are out and the film Emilia Perez leads the way with 23 nominations.

They introduced showbiz reporter Stephanie Takyi, who shared that Elton John, Cynthia Erivo, Demi Moore, and Guy Pierce all received nods.
