And revealing the extravagant and romantic way the couple had celebrated their engagement, Coleen added: ‘We were only young, so we went back and had corned beef hash instead!’
The mother-of-four previously recalled how Wayne had proposed in her autobiography My Account: The Official Autobiography, released in November last year.
She explained how they had been heading to a Chinese restaurant, where the England player had planned to get down on one knee, but had begun bickering.
She wrote: ‘I can’t even remember what now, but whatever it was must have put me in a bit of a mood.
‘As we pulled in at a petrol station, I folded my arms and sighed. “Do you know? I don’t really feel like going for something to eat now.”
‘”No neither do I,” Wayne said, turning off the car engine. “Only, the thing is, while we were there, I was going to do this…”
‘Before I knew it, I had an emerald-cut diamond ring on my finger, and I rang mum mum and dad to tell them our big news. Little did I know, he’d already asked my dad’s permission, so they knew it was coming.’
Acknowledging that it had not been ‘the most romantic of proposals’, Coleen admitted: ‘It’s not the image a girl conjures up when she thinks about a marriage proposal, as a rule.’
It comes after Coleen opened up on how she still gets branded a ‘WAG’, as she offered rare insight into her home life on Saturday’s instalment.

She revealed to Oti Mabuse, 34, and Dean McCullough, 32, that she has ‘a few bars’ in her home, a football pitch, and also an underground tunnel that links to the pitch as well.
In awe over her home, Dean said: ‘If I end up in a big house, with the life that I have in visions in my head, kids, really happy, I would wanna do it like you.’
He then asked her if the term ‘WAG’ has died yet or if it is ‘still a thing’ to which Coleen confirmed the term always gets brought up to her.
She said: ‘No, I still get asked about it in every interview I do. It always gets brought up.’
Dean then chimed in by saying he felt the term was derogatory back in the day, to which Coleen agreed with him saying she ‘felt it at the time’.
She added: ‘Yeah, I felt it at the time. I used to say we’re all individuals, we’re not a group where we’re all exactly the same person. We’ve all got our own little lives and ways and personalities.’
The conversation comes after she discussed her two heartbreaking miscarriages and the meaning behind her children’s names during Friday’s show.
In camp, Oti and GK Barry sat down with Coleen to talk about the origins of her kids’ names: Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass.

Explaining the reason behind not having all of the names begin with a letter K, she revealed: ‘I looked up the meaning of the name Cassius and with a K it meant blackbird, and with a C it meant clever.’
Deciding on Cassius, they then chose Mac for his middle name given her maiden name was McLoughlin, and her friends used to nickname her Coleen Mac.
As Coleen’s middle name was Mary, this then meant Cass would have the same initials as her, CMR.
She also shared that Cass Mac Rooney meant ‘clever son of Rooney, that’s the meaning. CMR. That’s the only connection I’ve got to the kids!’
Speaking about having four boys, Coleen admitted: ‘I would’ve liked a girl for Wayne, I wasn’t desperate, he would’ve liked a girl, I wasn’t bothered either way.’
She went on to explain: ‘I’ve had two miscarriages and I don’t know whether that has been girls, you know sometimes they say you can’t carry a certain sex, but they don’t investigate until you have your third one.’
Coleen told Oti and GK how she had her first miscarriage before she had any children, with the second miscarriage coming before she had Kit and Cass.
She admitted: ‘When I had the first one I was really scared…but then once I had a child, it took that away, I went on to have another one.’

Wayne and Coleen, who tied the knot in June 2008, share four sons together Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass (pictured with her children and husband Wayne)
‘It’s not a nice feeling for anyone, it’s horrible but knowing that I could conceive and have the child, that made me feel better.’
Speaking of Wayne, she said: ‘I feel for the men in this situation…Wayne really felt it the first time round and it wasn’t until later on that I thought, ”Do you know what, everyone’s fussing around me, but not him and he had to just get up and go to work as normal”, it’s quite hard.’
Oti agreed: ‘It’s such a precious time but a scary time as well.’
Wayne and Coleen have four sons together. The couple exchanged vows in Portofino, Italy, in June 2008.
The pair, who were both 22 at the time, spared no expense when it came to their wedding, with their incredible day believed to have cost a cool £5m.
