I’m A Celebrity winner Danny Jones was forced to shave off his handlebar moustache that he grew in camp after wife Georgia Horsley couldn’t stand it
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Danny Jones had to undergo a significant transformation in his looks mere hours after his triumph on the show.
The McFly frontman, aged 38, was declared this year’s jungle monarch following a three-week stint. He edged out Coleen Rooney for the crown, with Reverend Richard Coles securing third place.
Upon his victory, an overwhelmed Danny expressed his joy to hosts Ant and Dec, admitting: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk.” After clinching the title, Danny featured on the Monday (December 9) broadcast of ITV’s Lorraine show via a live video link from Austria, reports the Mirror.
Discussing the encouragement he got from his spouse, Georgia Horsley, she unexpectedly joined him on air. Lorraine began by reminiscing: “Georgia your lovely wife was here before talking about how proud she was of you.”
She then highlighted: “I know she’s with you isn’t she. I bet she was so excited to see you.” With a beaming smile, Danny confirmed: “Yes she is here.”

When Lorraine suggested: “Tell her to say hello, I would love to see her, if she is ok with that.”
Georgia then appeared, commenting on Danny’s new rugged look, sporting a beard he grew in the jungle, which was a stark contrast to his usual appearance, especially when he opted for a handlebar moustache, much to her surprise.
She disclosed: “I mean it’s weird, it’s weird seeing him. He came back with a full beard and I’ve never seen him like that before so that was different but then he decided to shave it into a handle bar moustache.”
The studio erupted with laughter as Lorraine humorously remarked, “Right I’m not sure about that but never mind.” prompting Danny to respond with, “She wasn’t sure either Lorraine, it wasn’t getting me anywhere.”

Shifting the conversation on a more serious note, an ‘overwhelmed’ Danny reflected on his ITV reality show triumph. He stated his appreciation for fans recognising a different aspect of his personality.
He expressed his astonishment, highlighting the similarity between fan votes and people purchasing tickets to his performances: “I feel overwhelmed and I was trying to explain it’s like when people buy tickets to your show. I’m always amazed by it because it’s like ‘wow this many people have paid to see me’ and the fact that so many people voted for me to be king, I am shocked and I will forever be thankful.”
In a candid moment, he said: “I feel like I’ve connected with the UK and everyone at home in a different way than usual. When they are voting for me for just being myself it feels really rewarding so thank you everyone so much.”
