ITV The Chase fans are slamming the popular game show after a player took on Paul Sinha for a whopping £40k in a very tense round with a shocking result.

The Chase fans have called out ITV bosses over “fix” claims after a high-stakes round took an unexpected turn.
During Wednesday’s episode (December 11) of the popular quiz show, host Bradley Walsh greeted a fresh group of contestants vying to take home the hefty cash prize.
As fans tuned in for the primetime show, the broadcaster welcomed player Adrian, who joined three fellow hopefuls who took on chaser Paul Sinha in hopes of winning bags of cash.
After bringing an impressive £7k to the table in his cash builder round, the Oldham-born player opted to go for the high offer of £40k that left fans on the edge of their seats.
But after the Adrian got a question wrong, the former Coronation Street star couldn’t help but tease: “Do you think he gets it wrong?” regarding chaser Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, before getting an answer from the rest of the team.
Paul Sinha made some obvious mistakes
Luckily for Adrian, he did get it wrong, saving him from elimination. But just minutes later the player answered another fairly easy question incorrectly, which was set to send him home with nothing.
Astonishingly, The Sinnerman again got the question wrong, leaving fans suspicious about the series of events being “scripted”.
“What a fu**ing fix this is,” blasted one player. “That was 100% scripted them asking if they think the Chaser will get it wrong when in fact he gets it wrong. Classic ITV.” Penned a second. A third added: “Why did the chaser getting that wrong feel scripted?”
The team sat with £46k after the first player Elena brought home £6k – leaving them with a huge cash prize just half way through the episode.
“He’s still in! Oh, I can’t handle this drama!” gushed one fan. Another penned: “Unexpected own goal by Paul there, easy at home of course, but Mercury is the smallest and the closest …”
Player Adrian caught two lucky breaks
The drama continued after player Ben only bagged £2k in his cash builder round but opted to take an offer of minus £7k.
Fans were fuming about the decision, which would bring the team’s total down to £39k. One viewer blasted: “He shouldn’t be allowed any money I would be foaming if he was on my team. -7 seriously?.” Another echoed: “that guy took -£7,000!! i would have pushed him off his stool”
But it worked out for the player who made it through to the final.
“was praying for the -7k guy to lose. What rubbish,” a fan added. Even chaser Paul chimed in, reassuring the player he made the right decision. “You had their (the team) blessing you took the lower offer. it’s a tactical game – you’re fine.”
Utimately the team were beaten in the final chase and went home empty-handed.
