ITV The Chase SPARKS FURY over JENNY RYAN QUESTION as FANS FUME ‘GAME IS RIGGED’.

The Chase star Jenny Ryan went head-to-head with four new contestants who were hoping to walk away with some money.

The Chase fans were in uproar as they issued the same complaint over one of the questions.

Thursday’s instalment (January 9) of the ITV quiz show saw four new contestants take on Jenny Ryan.

After knocking out two players, it was John and Tracy who faced The Vixen in the final chase. The duo put on an impressive display in the final chase, answering 17 questions correctly between them.

Jenny got off to a rocky start as she attempted to catch the team’s score, but managed to turn it around as the timer went on.

It looked to be going to the wire, with one wrong question from Jenny in the last few seconds meaning the team could push her back and win.

However, viewers couldn’t believe what they were hearing when it came to Jenny’s second to last question.

Host Bradley Walsh asked: “What term refers to knives, forks and spoons collectively?”

The Vixen correctly answered “cutlery”, but fans were outraged by how easy the question was and took to social media to voice the same complaint.

“The strongest chaser who rarely gets beat is asked what’s the collective name for knives, forks and spoons pfft,” wrote one viewer.

A second added: “What term is referred to knives forks and spoons collectively? My god.”

Another posted: “Running out of time so bring out questions as easy as what makes up cutlery,” alongside an image with the caption: “This game is rigged man.”

A fourth shared: “As if one of the questions she got was the collective term for spoons, knives and forks.”

Jenny ended up beating the duo with seven seconds remaining.

Earlier in the game, the chaser went head-to-head with 19-year-old law student Anousha. Despite proving she had the knowledge after answering six questions correctly in the cash builder, Anousha was caught by Jenny before she could make it to the final chase.

The same happened with 54-year-old Hanish, who missed out on bringing £5,000 back to the team.

After beating John and Tracy, Jenny recognised the importance of having a full house in the final chase.

The chaser added: “Particularly Anousha, she would have been very fast in that final and just picked up a couple where you were letting the energy drop a little bit.”
