Royal fans were sent into a frenzy as Meghan Markle made a sensational comeback to Instagram on January 1, captivating her followers with an inaugural post that saw her follower count soar past the 1 million mark within the first day of her return.

The Duchess of Sussex, at 43, captivated fans with her new account aptly named @meghan, and made a splash with her first verified update—a video where she’s seen sprinting along the beach before scrawling “2025” in the sand, a special touch given it was Prince Harry behind the camera at their Montecito abode.

Desperate for a glimpse into the Duchess’s life post-royalty, Royal supporters were quick to follow, pushing Meghan’s numbers to dizzying heights almost instantaneously, marking a triumphant first 24 hours back on social media.

Meghan reportedly is thrilled about her resurgence in the digital realm, aiming to foster global community ties and keep fans abreast of her latest endeavours.

Teasing the possibility of a broader social presence, March last year saw her set up an account for her venture American Riviera Orchard, although it remains silent for now.

Meghan Markle’s new Instagram account is not her first venture into sharing her life with fans, having previously run a successful lifestyle blog called The Tig before she stepped back to focus on her relationship with Prince Harry. Her return to social media coincides with the imminent release of her new Netflix series, ‘With Love,Meghan’, set to premiere on January 15.

On January 2nd, Meghan gave fans a sneak peek by sharing the trailer for her new show. The eight-part series, which sees Meghan as both host and executive producer, will cover cooking, gardening, flower shopping, beekeeping and baking with friends, including celebrities like Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer, and Delfina Blaquier, reports The Mirror.

Prince Harry also makes a brief appearance in the trailer, suggesting he may feature in the series. In the caption for the trailer, Meghan wrote: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. “Wishing you all a fantastic new year!
