Coleen Rooney took to a Bushtucker trial for the first time in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here camp on Sunday and Rebekah Vardy has let her feelings known.
Coleen’s nomination by the public to face the Absolute Carnage trial came after hubby and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney had urged his fans to vote for her. And his wish came true as she lined up alongside radio DJ Dean McCullough, who was once again facing a trial.
Together, the duo had to work together to secure gold stars for their fellow campmates. The trial saw Dean rummaging through buckets and barrels of fish guts and animal parts to find mechanic tools. While Dean was frantically looking for the parts, Coleen was laying in the back of a truck, ready to unlock various stars with whatever tools Dean could find. However, the mum-of-four was not alone in the truck and was covered in creepy crawlies, including crickets, cockroaches, mealworms, rats and more.

Following the trial, Coleen received surprise praise from her rival Rebekah after she earned nine stars for camp alongside Dean. Speaking to the Sun, Rebekah said: “I’m applauding Coleen. She really held her nerve as the mealworms, cockroaches and rats crawled all over her.”
The praise comes after Rebekah has aimed several jibes in her rival’s direction since she entered camp Down Under – The WAG, who is married to Leicester footballer Jamie Vardy. Prior to the task, and after branding the campmates “dull and wet” ahead of a previous challenge, she confessed her hopes of seeing Coleen eating “bull’s penis and humble pie”.
Before that, Rebekah mocked Coleen’s entrance to the show. “Coleen sank in the river twice. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.” she said after the launch episode. And she also hit out straight away at Dean, who she said had been cosying up to her rival. “It’s so very obvious and, believe me, it is going to get tiresome. He absolutely loves to talk about Wagatha and when he does he knows he’s going to get airtime from it,” Rebekah initially raged in The Sun.
It comes after the highly publicised trial known as Wagatha Christie in which Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking stories about her. The accusation was shared in an infamous social media post where she became dubbed Wagatha Christie. Rebekah has strongly denied all allegations. It emerged during the High Court libel trial her former agent, Caroline Watt, may have sold the stories as she had access to Rebekah’s Instagram account.
However, in July 2022 a judge at the High Court found the post was “substantially true”. A judge last month ruled that Rebekah would be handed an extra £100,000 cost on top of the £1.8 million she’s already been told to pay Coleen.
