Barry spoke about his loss while sitting around the campfire with the rest of his co-stars.

Dean asked the boxer if he goes to church, to which Barry replied: “I used to go to church a lot but after my daughter… you know, not so much.”

The star bravely spoke about what happened.

Danika was diagnosed with acute lymphoid leukemia when she was 11-years-old.

Dean revealed: “She had leukaemia, when I was making the boxing with Daniel Day Lewis, three weeks from the end I had to leave because she’d been diagnosed with leukaemia, they thought she wasn’t going to get better but she fought back and she won it.

“She had two years of chemo. She was good, she came back…”

Dean started to get upset and the rest of the camp tried to comfort him.

Speaking to the camp about their lovely words, Barry added: “Thank you, you’re all so lovely.

“I really appreciate it.”

In another conversation with Loose Women’s Jane Moore and Danny, he then explained that she had bowel cancer later on in life.

As he fought back the tears, Barry said: “Stage four bowel cancer, five weeks.

“Five weeks and she died.”

Barry shared Danika with his wife Sandra.

The married couple are also parents to their three sons Shane, Jake and Blane.

Barry said to Belfast Live back in 2021, Barry said: “I lost my daughter two years ago, and it’s been shocking.

“I’ll never recover from it.

“My life will go on, but I’ll never be the same because family means everything to me.”
