Appearing in Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas special later today Vogue Williams has shared an update on her marriage with Spencer Matthews and has explained why she has been ‘so miserable’ recently

Strictly Come Dancing’s Vogue Williams has revealed why she has been feeling ‘so miserable’ as she gives an update on her marriage.

During a recent episode of their husband and wife podcast, Spencer Matthews and Vogue shared the latest updates from their home life, as Vogue revealed how she has suffered from a recent bout of the flu: “I think our relationship is down the swanny, everything’s down the swanny at the moment, because I’ve just been so crap.”

The Strictly star added: “Like, I literally said to Spen the other day ‘you can go out tonight if you want’ like I don’t expect you to sit with me because I’m just so miserable,” reports the Irish Mirror.

“You certainly have undertones of misery to you at the minute and like sometimes it’s the main tune.” Spencer replied.

While his wife has been struggling with the seasonal illness, the former Made in Chelsea star recalled how he has been trying to care for his poorly wife: “I don’t expect a pat on the back for this, I don’t expect a favour in return, nothing. But, I have been looking after you, making you lots of meals, looking after you, which is absolutely fine.”

While ‘looking after her’ he admitted that there was one aspect that was a cause of much annoyance: “We get into bed last night, Vogue leans over and goes ‘so tomorrow when you make my cheese on toast, will you just like cover all of the toast in cheese?”

And, he explained that how his annoyance was only exacerbated after remembering one particular detail: “This is on the back of her saying can she only have one slice per piece of toast.”

After they became engaged in January 2018, Spencer and Matthew tied the knot later that year. And six years later, the pair have had three children; Theodore, Gigi, and Otto.

Having recovered from her nasty bout of the flu in recent weeks, Vogue will be looking to secure the number one spot in tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

She is set to take on the likes Josh Widdicombe, Tayce, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Tamzin Outhwaite and Billy Monger in the show set to air on BBC One today at 3.55pm.
