Danny Jones will not receive a cash prize for winning I’m A Celeb 2024 despite being crowned the King of the Jungle.
Jones won the hearts of the nation in order to go on to become this year’s King, as he opened up about his battle with anxiety and smashed near every task given to him.
He won in the final after beating out Reverend Richard Coles and Wagatha Christie herself Coleen Rooney.
The McFly singer was emotional after winning, breaking down into tears and saying: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk.
He thanked fans who voted for him, saying: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it’s a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much.”

Danny also said before his win was announced: “This is totally insane. I’ve learned so much about myself, and that’s because the camp mates were unbelievable.
“They made it so easy for us to get through the hard times. I’ve had some of the hardest times I’ve ever had, some of the highest highs, and just tried to have fun along the way. It was way harder, harder than what it comes across on TV, but it’s real in there.
“You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic.”
Despite the ordeals he went through to win, Jones will not be receiving any extra money for winning.
Unlike shows like Love Island the incentive to win is really just… to win.
Danny Jones is this year’s winner (ITV)
All contestants receive a flat fee that is agreed upon before they go in, and then get that as long as they stay in for 72 hours.
So whether you spent a month down under or three days, your pay will be the same.
How much some of the campmates are reported to have earned:
Melvin Odoom – £60,000 to £90,000.
Barry McGuigan – £70,000 to £100,000.
Jane Moore – £80,000 to £120,000.
Alan Halsall – £100,000 to £150,000.
GK Barry – £100,000 to £150,000.

Danny Jones has won I’m A Celebrity 2024
The winner has been revealed
Danny Jones has won I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here 2024.
The celeb has been crowned the King of the jungle after an arduous season.
Whether it be being forced to drink the worst concoctions known to man, being covered in creepy crawlies and snakes, or even just withstanding what must be one of the worst smelling places in the world, they’ve earned it.
They beat out Reverend Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney to be crowned this year’s champion.
Danny Jones (ITV)
Coles was a fan favourite but was not really expected to beat out Coleen Rooney and Danny Jones who both made it to the final two on the show.
Rooney was, alongside Danny Jones and N Dubs star Tulisa, considered from the start to be one of the favourites to win I’m A Celeb.
While Wagatha Christie was able to sniff out the fake camp luxury that Maura Higgins and Coles were staying in, she was unable to find her way to a win.
He joins an illustrious group of winners, ranging in fame from Busted’s Matt Willis to Stacey Solomon and Harry Redknapp.
Redknapp was a past winner (ITV)
Add to that more recent winners like Jill Scott and Sam Thompson, and their career is likely facing an upwards trajectory for winning.
Despite this, they will not actually win any prize money.
This is due to the fact every I’m A Celeb contestant receives a flat fee.
The only condition on this is that they stay in the jungle for 72 hours.
So, whether you spend a month or three days down under, you get the money you were promised at the start.
They also won’t even be allowed to keep their crown and sceptre for very long.
Last year’s winner Sam Thompson revealed on This Morning last year that he was made to give it back before he even left Australia, saying: “I didn’t get to keep anything! They wouldn’t let me keep anything!
“I had to give the sceptre back. I really wanted to bring it through airport security because it’s quite big,” he laughed.
“But yeah, I don’t have anything to show for it.”
More to come.

Why tonight’s winner of I’m A Celeb won’t be receiving a cash prize despite finishing first
Someone will be crowned Queen or King of the Jungle this evening
After spending recent weeks watching celebrities struggle to swallow, live off rice and beans and face their fears, it all comes to an end tonight (December 8).
Yep, with just Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones and Rev Richard Coles remaining in the jungle, it’s the finale of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
But after going through all of that, whichever of the three finishes first in the public vote won’t receive a cash prize.

I mean, let’s be honest, with ‘celebrity’ status, do they really need to win a load of money for taking the jungle crown? Instead, they get the status, the bragging rights, and well, they’re all likely to be faced with fresh opportunities when they return to the UK.
As has been the same for the many, many past series of the ITV show, the star who comes in first place doesn’t receive an additional fee for taking part.
And the final three are certainly raking in a hefty amount anyway, with Rooney said to be the popular show’s highest paid star.
It’s widely rumoured the mum-of-four is earning an eye-watering £1.5 million for taking part in I’m A Celeb, with an expert previously saying she isn’t doing it for the money.
The show comes to an end tonight. (ITV)
During the show, Rooney has made it pretty clear how much her kids want to see her doing the challenges – particularly last night’s Celebrity Cyclone, of course.
PR expert and Press Box PR’s Head of Talent Lynn Carratt said on behalf of Slingo: “I don’t believe for her it is about the money. She and Wayne already have enough money to last them the rest of their lives. Coleen built a successful career for herself in the past but she turned down a lot of opportunities when she became a mum.”
Carratt added that she will want to ‘make her family proud’ as well as ‘pick back up her career and develop it’.
This year’s final three. (ITV)
Said to be the standard fee for someone of his profile, McFly star Jones is reported to be getting between £150,000 and £200,000 for participating this year.
Described as the show’s ‘surprising secret millionaire’, Coles is apparently doing pretty well for himself already.
The three finalists have survived quite the stint in the jungle now and whether they win or not, they have qualified to receive their fees.
That’s because, according to rumoured rules of the show, the celebrities must remain in camp for at least 72 hours to get their full fee and anyone who leaves before then will face cuts to their cash.

Danny Jones’ wife exposes huge lie he told producers before going on I’m A Celeb
Danny Jones, how could you?
The wife of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here contestant and McFly star Danny Jones has claimed that before he went into the jungle he told a few fibs about his phobias.
Much that the celebrities will face on I’m A Celeb is unpleasant whether they’re terribly afraid of it or not, but the worst moments (and therefore best TV for the audience) is when someone has to contend with a creature they’re genuinely terrified of.

Seeing someone getting a bowl of spiders poured over their head is a decent night’s entertainment. Watching someone terribly afraid of arachnids have to cope with the fact that some giant ones are now crawling all over them is peak TV.
I’m A Celeb producers will know plenty about the famous faces they bring onto the show, particularly in the way of fears, allergies and medical conditions.
Tulisa, for example, is exempt for medical reasons from tasks where she’d have to go too high up.
Danny Jones has already had to deal with snakes getting up close and personal in a trial, but apparently he’s not that scared of them. (ITV)
However, it sounds like the McFly man has been telling a few porkies when it comes to the jungle creatures he’s most afraid of.
Speaking on the Never Have I Ever podcast, Danny’s wife Georgia said he pretended to I’m A Celeb bosses that he was scared of snakes but isn’t really frightened of them.
She said: “He’s lied, and he said he’s scared of snakes. Bulls**t! World exclusive: bulls**t. So, everyone vote for the tasks that don’t involve snakes, please!
“He’s not scared of snakes, but he said he is, that’s a double bluff.
“So, he’s now going to get tasks with snakes, I think they think Danny’s a really genuine guy!”
Danny has already had some serpentine encounters already on I’m A Celeb, with the crew having to step in very early on to help remove a snake from his shorts.
Viewers think Danny’s been sending secret hand signals to his family, what will he think when he hears his wife has revealed his secrets? (ITV)
Very early on in this year’s I’m A Celeb he and Barry McGuigan had to face something called the ‘Mausoleum of Misery’, which largely consisted of them being stuck in a small box and having to share the space with various unpleasant animals.
Danny did admirably well in there with the snakes but as he emerged he shouted: “Can you get it out of my shorts!”
Fortunately, I’m A Celeb has animal handlers on call for just such an occasion and they were able to help him out.
Knowing now that his fear of snakes is a ruse it’s possible that I’m A Celeb bosses might think what else they could make him do.
Unless of course Georgia is pulling off a bluff on her husband’s behalf to try and steer him into trials without snakes to spare him from his greatest fear.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues nightly at 9pm on ITV 1.

Why Sam Thompson will not receive cash prize despite winning I’m A Celebrity
He was crowned King of the Jungle last night
Sam Thompson was crowned the King of the Jungle in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! final last night.
The 31-year-old TV personality won viewers over with his seemingly unending enthusiasm and his sweet friendship with decidedly-less-enthusiastic boxer Tony Bellew – who came in second place.

Bellew, 41, told hosts Ant and Dec that his fellow finalist was like a ‘fifth son’ to him and added: “I definitely think I was put here to be around Sam.”
Former politician Nigel Farage came in third place and said he ‘couldn’t be more thrilled’ with the result.
Commenting on his win, Thompson said he was ‘really overwhelmed’ and hadn’t thought he’d make it to the final.
Speaking to Ant and Dec while sat on the winner’s throne, he said: “I didn’t think I was even going to be invited onto this show, let alone be sat here.”
It’s also fair to say that those who win can often go onto land themselves the best deals post-jungle.
ITV
He continued: “I never knew I could be as happy as I am right now, it’s been magical. It’s like a dream I don’t want you to wake me up from. I got asked for my down moments in there and I don’t know, even the moments I felt low I was like ‘I am feeling low in the jungle’.
“There were so many amazing people I never thought I would get to spend time with.”
Addressing the viewers, he said: “I am so grateful, thank you so much. I’ve dreamed of doing this show and being invited on for years and years, and you’ve just made a boy’s dream come true.”
However, despite the fact that he’s been named as this year’s King of the Jungle, Thompson won’t be scooping a cash prize for his win, as the stars who come in first place don’t actually receive any additional fee – just the glowing feeling that comes from knowing the British public like you the best.
ITV
But before you feel too sorry for anyone, all those who take part receive a flat-fee – with Farage reportedly the highest ever paid star, netting a whopping £1.5million.
The question of fees was brought to light during this series after two of its stars – Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears – dropped out due to medical conditions.
According to rumoured rules of the show, the celebrities must remain in camp for at least 72-hours to get their full fee and anyone who lives before then will face cuts to their cash.
As both Dent and Spears remained for longer than 72-hours, it’s believed they will both have received their payment in full.
Brand and Culture expert Nick Ede told MailOnline that Dent will get an appearance fee of £100,000, while Spears could be getting up to £250,000.
