Jennifer Lawrence has revealed who she will be voting for in the upcoming presidential election.
Speaking to People Magazine, the 34-year-old Oscar-winning actress said: ‘I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I think she can protect reproductive rights’, adding that ‘the most important thing’ is to ‘not let somebody into the White House who is going to ban abortion.’
‘Abortion is literally on the ballot,’ she added.
She also clapped back at critics who called her uneducated for not having finished high school.
‘As online trolls like to point out every time I get involved in politics, I didn’t go to school, I dropped out of middle school, so I don’t have a classic education…So storytelling is where I get most of my education.’

Lawrence has been vocal about her stance on abortion, having recently produced the documentary ‘Zurawski v Texas’, which tells the story of abortion care supporters who in 2023 sued the state of Texas.
‘Women are dying,’ the actress told People while discussion the film, which she says can ‘enlighten people’s idea of what abortion is and why certain people need abortions — and why it’s so important to keep lawmakers out of families and out of people’s doctors’ offices… These laws are made by random white men and they’re not made by healthcare providers.’
Harris has already received endorsements from a string of high-profile celebrities.
The Vice President was endorsed earlier this month by megastar Taylor Swift, who announced her support for the Democratic presidential nominee just moments after the presidential debate.
Writing on her Instagram, Swift said: ‘I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.’
She also praised Harris’ picking Walz as her running mate and touted him ‘standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.’
It comes weeks after Taylor Swift publicly expressed her support for the Democratic presidential nominee
The Cruel Summer hit-maker’s bombshell announcement could have huge ramifications on the momentum with less than eight weeks until election day.
In addition, singer Billie Eillish and her brother Finneas revealed their support for the vice president on X.
Last week a data scientist who predicted the outcome for the 2020 presidential election anticipated a landslide victory for Harris in a blow to former president Donald Trump’s hopes to reclaim the White House.
Northwestern University data scientist Thomas Miller said that Harris will knock Trump in a landslide election, telling Fortune Magazine: ‘It’s gone from a drastic landslide in Trump’s direction to a drastic landslide for Harris’.
Miller first gained attention after he accurately predicted the 2020 presidential election by unconventionally using betting markets rather than traditional polls to forecast the outcome.
He achieved this by developing a model, which is based on 16 presidential elections, that converted betting prices into the popular vote and Electoral College projections.
This model shows a narrow correlation between betting odds and the anticipated popular vote.
As of September, Miller’s model showed Harris would have 55% of the popular vote, which would translate into a significant lead in the Electoral College.
